From David Keyte
Our relationship with Fresh in Turin goes back to 2016 and over those years, Giulio and the team have become much more than just stockists of Universal Works. They have become friends too.
What we love about Fresh is that they represent so much of what we believe a good independent store should be. They have their own identity, a real passion for good clothes and a genuine connection with the people and the city around them. They have built something special in Turin, a store that is part of its community, where people come together, share ideas and enjoy spending time. For me, that is what good retail is all about.
Our special projects together have never really been about just making more clothes to sell. They come from conversations, friendships, shared ideas and a mutual respect. We enjoy working with people who have their own ideas and opinions, and Giulio and Alessio certainly have those. They bring their own personality to the project and that is what makes it interesting and enjoyable for us all.
At Universal Works, we have always believed that good independent stores are important–not just for the clothes they sell, but for the people and communities they bring together. Fresh is a great example of that, and we are proud to work with them.
At the end of the day, we all love making and selling good clothes, but it is the people we meet, the friendships we make and the good times we share along the way that make it all worthwhile.
