Lucio Dalla and Luigi Ghirri, a series of dreams

The partnership between singer-songwriter Lucio Dalla and photographer Luigi Ghirri has united two of the greatest Emilian creative geniuses. Based on a deep friendship and elective affinity, this collaboration has allowed Ghirri to immortalize Dalla's intimate soul through iconic shots and to create some of the most famous covers of his discography.

Their collaboration was born from a shared vision: both were able to transform the simplicity of the landscape and everyday life into highly evocative images and melodies. Ghirri was able to translate Dalla's poetics into images, telling Italy through fragments, postcards, details and places linked to the singer-songwriter.

Famous are the intimate portraits, such as the one taken in Mantua in 1988, and the visual materials used to accompany Dalla's music.
